David Phan, 18, graduated from the Big Picture Academy at Liverpool Boys High School in2020. He is passionate about Machine Learning (ML) and Mathematics and is interested inPsychology, Pedagogies and Electronics. David is an authentic, ambitious and curious student that tends to spend his time pondering the enduring questions in Mathematics and Technology.For the past 3 years, David’s internship at LA Services, a welding & fabrication company allowed him to work hands-on with electronics and learn machine learning. He collaborated with managers, software engineers and data scientists. David strives to get into the UTS ComputerScience course to major in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics. Whilst at University, he aims to be a mathematics tutor as he enjoys teaching. He expects to hold a variety of job positions throughout his working life, ranging from being a ML engineer for startups and larger companies and eventually becoming a researcher in ML and Mathematics.
